Moles are blemishes of various sizes and colours that are often commonly seen on the body or face. They can be flat or raised, and can be a variety of shapes. Some people are born with moles, other moles come into sight over time. Sun exposure seems to play a role in the expansion of moles and may even play a role in the development of uncharacteristic or dysplastic, moles. Although most moles are harmless, but people refer to a mole as any dark spot or irregularity in the skin, like any birthmark, abnormal collection of blood vessels.

Moles or Nevi are often removed for a variety of reasons, like their odd-looking appearance or risk of developing skin cancer, which can be very hazardous. But only the very large nevi (giant nevi have a propensity to develop skin cancer).

Mole Removal Process

There are two surgical methods of mole removal-

  • Erasure (cutting)- It is a fine stitches surgery which are almost invisible after few weeks even for bigger moles and that may provide excellent result almost without scar lines.
  • Punch (or blade) with Round Excision - This is very useful method for tiny moles that are less that 1-mm in size.
Most deep moles are not been used to eradicate with this method because the laser light doesn’t infiltrate deeply enough, even though it is tried for moles removal.

KINDLY DO NOT APPLY ANY KIND OF CHEMICAL OR CHINA OVER THE MOLES. THEY ALWAYS LEADS TO SUCH A BAD & DIFFICULT SCRATCH MARK THAT IMPOSSIBLE TO ERADICATE IN FUTURE EVEN. FROM AN EXPERIENCED PLASTIC SURGEON
